CarolGHELANIIt is with great sadness that Dr Anantrai Mohanlal Ghelani announces the death of his beloved wife Carol Ann Ghelani, who passed away from cancer at home in Loughborough, on 26th May at the age of 74. Carol, the only child of Lewis Garrett and Patricia Ann Garrett, was born in Yorkshire, but grew up in Minehead, Somerset - where she and Anant also married. Together they had two children Sheila Ghelani and Lalit Ghelani, who both survive their mother. Carol worked for all of her life as a teacher, dedicating her life to helping children and young people, and for many years taught at Limehurst Girls School in Loughborough, as well as several other schools within Leicestershire, including a PRU where she became Deputy Head. She loved birds and nature and became an expert cook of Gujarati food. She will be greatly missed by her family. A small private ceremony will be held at Loughborough Crematorium on 4th July for immediate family members only. The family request that those wishing to offer condolences don't send flowers but instead make a donation to Unicef - Carol's chosen charity.
