I am so sorry to hear about Daphne's passing. I was a colleague of Daphne's in Dublin Institute of Technology from when I joined in 2002 to when Daphne retired in 2009. She was such a lovely gentle person. She was humble, unassuming and very kind with a keen intellect. I know that I speak for all of my colleagues in Engineering at DIT (now renamed Technological University Dublin, TU Dublin) that knew Daphne in saying that we will miss her. My condolences to Daphne's family. May she rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.

Daphne was an outstanding Ph.D student of mine, as well as a good friend, and she made an important contribution in the field of Spectral Theory. Ann and I send our deepest condolences to all the family.

I am very saddened to hear of Daphne's passing. I had the honour of working with her at the Dublin Institute of Technology. A highly esteemed academic and a real lady. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
