PhoebeGILHESPY(Tynemouth) Peacefully on 17th August 2026, aged 99 years. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Gilhespy. Much loved mam of Joan and Alan, loving grandma of Christopher, Louise and Graeme, and great-grandma of Callum and Dylan.

Please meet for funeral service at Tynemouth Crematorium on Thursday 3rd September at 11.15am.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the RNLI Cullercoats.

I WANTED TO SEND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL MOTHER. SHE WAS SUCH A SWEET, PLEASANT AND PETITE LADY WHO BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY TO EVERYONE AROUND HER, ESPECIALLY TO MY MOTHER PIERRA . I FEEL INCREDIBLY LUCKY TO HAVE SHARED THAT EPIC ROAD TRIP FROM ENGLAND TO ATHENS WITH HER. EVEN THROUGH ALL THOSE MILES HER GENTLE SPIRIT AND SWEET NATURE NEVER WAVERED. NINETY NINE YEARS IS A MAGNIFICENT JOURNEY AND SHE FILLED IT WITH GRACE. SHE WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH LOVE FROM KAROL, GEORGE AND FAMILY IN ATHENS
