Sadly, Barry died on the 31st May 2024 in the Palliative Unit in Northern General Hospital, Sheffield.

Barry worked at Rampton Hospital from around 1967, retiring as a charge nurse in 1993/4.

There will be a celebration of Barry’s life on Tuesday 9th July at 1 pm at the North Chapel at Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield, with a wake afterwards.

Family flowers only, donations for the Palliative Unit or Tuberous Sclerosis Association would be grateful received.

Please inform Lisa at the Co-op Funeral Services at Herries Rd, Sheffield 0114 2852984 if you are going to attend.

There is a video streaming of my Dad's funeral, which is available for 28 days. Please email Lisa at the Co-op funeral directors Herries Road.

My Dad was a larger than life character with a wicked sense of humour. He was so knowledge about wild life, nature and the environment. He loved animals having a tamed squirrel as a companion. He loved his dogs and cats as family members. This is a passion we shared.

He was knowledge about politics, he loved good food and going out for meals.

I miss you Dad, love Ingrid
