ThomasGLEAVEIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Gleave, who left us peacefully on 12th June 2024 at the age of 91. Born on 17th September 1932 in Manchester, Thomas lived a full and active life, touching the hearts of many with his kindness.

He was a beloved father to Sarah and Richard, a cherished partner to Lucienne. and a devoted grandfather to James and Katie. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Thomas's life will be held on 5th July 2024 at Markeaton Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Macmillan Nurses Charity at Derby Royal Hospital, these may be made at the service, online at or be sent c/o Thomas Ryde & Son, Belper.

Rest in peace, Thomas. Your legacy of love and warmth and comedy will continue to inspire all who knew you.
