Roy, was my boss for several years. We had our moments, a little devil with a big soft heart; I'll always remember how much laughter our little 7th floor team with our boss, the wonderful Barry Warner, shared fighting our common adversary..........
You had an encyclopedic memory of Purple, Blue & Green books (I may have missed one or two) and all the minutiae of Nalgo and Unison regs.
You adored cricket, Sheffield Wednesday, snooker and a lovely lady called Julie.
Julie made an honest man out of you, it was a blessing to see love blossom between you even if it was in secret at first.
Ultimately you were, in more ways than one, taken from your colleagues and then your loving family, far too soon.
Had I known, I would have come and paid my final respects to you and
comforted my mate Julie.
I pray you didn't suffer and are now at peace.
