Melvyn JohnGLIDDON(Of Gliddon Ford, Churston) Mel passed peacefully away after a short illness at Torbay Hospital on 26th July 2022 aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Maggie, loving dad of Sharon, Simon and Marc. He was much loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mel will be sadly missed by his brother Martyn and all his family and many friends. A Service to Celebrate Mel's life will be held at St. Matthias Church, Wellswood, Torquay on Thursday, 4th August at 1.30pm. Donations in memory of Mel for Rowcroft Hospice At Home may be given online at www.stockmanandloram.co.uk/donations or cheques payable to the charity may be sent care of Vanessa Loram, Funeral Director at Stockman & Loram, 230 Torquay Road, Paignton TQ3 2HN

One of the decent members of the Torbay motor traders. I remember mel from Reeds (Ford) Preston in the late 1960s and later of course when he took over Prouts at Churston. RIP, Mel!
