Mr Goodluck taught (well, tried to!) me English in the early 80s at Heathfield High School. He was one of those teachers you could never forget, larger than life, witty, interesting and passionate about his subject. You knew where you stood with Mr Goodluck though, when he said work, you did. the reward though was some of the best memories of education that I have. Tom was one the reasons I became a teacher myself - I think back to what I enjoyed about his lessons and try to apply that to my own teaching.
The last time I met him was in the early 90s when I had just begun my teacher training and he was still as entertaining as he had ever been.
Very sad to hear of his passing, his legacy will I'm sure live on in the lives of the many pupils he taught and all those he entertained and inspired through his work with the Concordia.
