Lots of happy memories of Dave - while most people talk about doing things, Dave actually did them - our infamous van trip around France would not have happened without him, music jams, exhibitions (he was a true exhibitionist….), parties, furniture, rugs, woodcock stew with lead croutons, potato print Christmas cards - we have a ‘Goodman shrine’ in one bedroom….. (who else gets a shrine?)…. and he was reliably worse behaved than, say for example, me. So many good moments that can't be put in a public place, but one fond moment was (as his mum’s next-door neighbour) we were enjoying a formal family Christmas lunch as teenagers when Dave burst through our front door pouring out a bottle of Champagne with the immortal words “Happy F***ing Christmas Everybody”. Ignoring for a moment the death threats I received for kindly offering to prune his Mirabeau tree and a few other wanton misadventures; he was a very generous and tender person who wanted everyone to get the most out of life. He constantly went out of his way for others. He massively enriched our lives - he was a true artist - his life was as colourful as many of his paintings and he put a lot of colour into all our lives. Thanks Dave – you have been a true friend - we continue to enjoy all that you gave us….. rest in peace, love Chalky.

Dave was undoubtedly the most extraordinary gifted crazy brother in law one could ever have wished for. We had so many good times together and a few I would rather not mention! A true legend in his lunchtime and lifetime!

Remembering Dave every time we look at the colour and light in the beautiful paintings and crafts we have... Remembering the purple suit and the dance moves to go with it... Dave and Munna will be dancing up a storm together now! All our love from Satya, Dheya and Leo xxx

One of the most talented, generous, infuriating, unusual, colourful, hilarious, and flawed people any of us will ever know. Not bad going - most of us are just flawed. We will be telling your story until we join you! RIP Dave - may you stay forever young. XX

Dave - such a huge part of our lives - our dear Suzy and Dave.
Always remember going to Dingle heavily pregnant - the midwife was not keen on the destination with no electricity and in the middle of a forest . I was very confident as I knew Dave would step up to the role of midwife if needed - we chatted about this at a later point where he relayed he could have delivered Alice and recounted how he had performed surgery on a little bird . It was quite fitting that Alice’s first word was ‘Dave’.
It has been a pleasure being an ‘Outlaw’ with you.
