JamesGOODWINPassed away suddenly on 12th January 2023 aged 82 years. Devoted husband to Mary. Dearly loved father to Elizabeth and Fiona and father-in-law to Peter and Chris Loving grandad to Carly, Connor, James, Grace and Imogen. Also a dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Would family and friends please meet for a service at Christ The King Church, Trenchard Avenue, Thornaby on Thursday February 2nd at 1pm. Followed by burial in Thornaby Cemetery. In place of flowers, any donations will be passed on to Thornaby Foodbank for local families.

I have known Jimmy forever, we grew up in our early years on Grosvenor Road in Stockton until his family moved to Thornaby in the 1940’s. We met up again at St Mary’s College and then again we were both together at King’s College, Newcastle. By this time my family had moved to Sunderland. We both got married in the early 60’s and in 1969:I emigrated to.Canada with my family. Jimmy and I have kept in regular contact throughout the years and I managed to visit Jim and Mary on my regular visits to England. In the last few years we corresponded regularly and eventually graduated to using FaceTime. I have never known a time in my life when Jimmy wasn’t there. I was supposed to go first Jim! I will miss you.
