RogerGOODYEAR(Portsoy) Peacefully after a short illness at Roxburghe House, Aberdeen on Thursday May 30, 2019. Roger Maxwell Goodyear M.B.E., Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Banffshire, aged 74 years and formerly of C.W.A. dearly loved husband of June, loving dad of Adrian, Gavin, Jill and John, fantastic adored grandad to his six grandchildren, much loved brother to Andrew and Liz.

Having read of the sad news of Roger's death at the time, I have just now come across this "funeral notices" page.
Roger and I were the GREATEST of friends growing up together in Troon where we were both at school together from the age of 4/5 until the age of 10/11 when Roger's family moved south.
We maintained our friendship over many more years but eventually lost touch when our respective careers took over more and more of our lives. We had begun to reconnect a couple of years before his untimely death, and I am so very sad indeed that we were never able to meet again in person.
I pray that his widow, June, and his children have all coped well in the intervening years, and they and the entire family are thriving.
RIP. ROGER.
