It is a great shame that so many of Ian's aviation chums were unaware of his death and therefore unable to attend his funeral. In my own case, it is doubly upsetting that the last time I saw & conversed with him was at Mike Ramsden's funeral - a sad comment on meeting old friends & acquaintances at this time of life... Ian was a true character & very much his own man in the Flight family and an individual voice in the aerospace industry. He is irreplaceable, will be sadly missed and I mourn his passing.
