JoanGOULDof Moorhead Care Home, passed away on February 18, aged 101. Joan retired from the Leather Works in Great Harwood but also worked as a weaver and a nurse in mental health with various other jobs throughout her life. Joan enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, walking, playing dominoes and socialising with her friends and family. Joan will sadly be missed but fondly remembered by her loving family. Wife of the late Glyn Gould, loving mum to Sheila, Joan, Glyn, David and Gwyneth. Dearly loved mum-in-law to Dorothy, Helen and Paul, a cherished grandma and precious great-grandma and loved great-great grandma. Joan’s family would like to thank all the staff at Moorhead HFE, for all the love and care given to Joan in the last three years. A service will take place on Monday, March 6, leaving Great Harwood Chapel at 9.50am to arrive at Accrington Crematorium for 10.20am for a service and committal, Trevor Hayes is taking the service. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the British Heart Foundation or Cancer Research UK at the funeral homes.
