GRAHAM JACKSONWell-known Nottinghamshire pub manager and former councillor Graham Jackson died on August 21, 2009.Mr Jackson, who was in his mid-50s, represented West Bridgford East on Notts County Council until losing his seat in 2005.Hethen became well-known through working at Fellows, Morton and Clayton,in Canal Street, and latterly The Globe in London Road.MrJackson was found by his sister at their homein The Meadows after he failed to open the pub.Manager Cassie Jackson said he will be sorely missed by staff and regulars."He was always up for a drink and a bit of a laugh," she said.Coun Alan Rhodes, leader of the Labour party for the county council, paid tribute to Mr Jackson on behalf of his colleagues."Obviousl y we are devastated," he said. "Graham Jackson was an excellent member of Nottinghamshire County Council."
