Paul WilliamGREEN(Also known as 'Nobby', 'Greeny' and Mr Green) A well-known character and resident of Spondon for 56 years and life member of Spondon Cricket Club. Paul's final innings closed on Sunday 23rd April 2023 at the age of 81. He slipped away quietly after being bowled out by prostate cancer. As Captain of the 'Green' family he leaves behind Kath, his wife of 59 years, Simon and Stephanie, his son and daughter, his very special grandsons Oliver and Charlie, Simon's wife Carrie, Stephanie's husband Nik, Oliver's partner Jess and last but not least, the best four-legged fielder of the ball, Sylvie. A celebration of Paul's life and a final goodbye will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent, DE72 2AF on Friday 26th May 2023 at 14.30pm. All are very welcome to join the family afterwards at Spondon Cricket Club to raise a glass to Paul and share their memories. Family flowers only please. Donations are invited for Prostate Cancer UK.
