Died at NTGH December 6th 2023 aged 90 years.

Cremation:Stockton Crematorium, Bluebell Chapel TS19 9NA on January 12th at 11:30am. No flowers.

Loving husband of the late Jane Patricia Greenwood ( Nee Readman) (86 years) who died 4th September 2023 also at NTGH.

They are survived by their "Three little kids for the flavour", Angela, Christine and Jane, their respective spouses, children and grandchildren. For, these were the dreams they savoured.

Walt had lost his Queen at the end of their game and had accepted his own "Checksky Wrecksie" and ultimate Check Mate.

Walter was under no illusion that no matter any aspiration, expectation, or achievement that,

"Once the game is ended the King and the Pawn go into the same box".

He followed Janey his "Stranger in the night" into the night.

"One girl, one boy", "On the road to romance that's safe to say". She "filled his heart with song", cause nice and easy did it every time as they made all the stops along the way. They gave their hearts completely when they fell in love for ever and sang for evermore.

"One man, one wife, one love through life, memories are made of this"

Pat + Wally/ Jane + Walter had lived a "Wonderful life" in their own "Wonderful world"

Their own 64 year love story is now at peace.

Be happy for them both so "Unforgettable in every way"

Thank you to the staff at NTGH, JCUH, Coroners and Undertakers, for their respect and dignity, but most of all their overwhelming and genuine kindness to both Jane Patricia, and Walter, and each through their respective and very difficult end game.

Thank you for the lovely comments, memories and support to Walter by Billingham Synthonia Chess Club.

Thank you to the Lively's, former work colleagues, friends and acquaintances old and new for all of their love, kindness and affection to and in support of Jane Patricia and Walter .

You are all "So unforgettable too"
