CatherineGREGSON BOSTOCKof Rishton, passed away peacefully following a long illness and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 13, aged 70. Known as Cathy, she was the much loved and loving mum of Lisa, Stella, Brian and the late Derek-Lee, dear mother-in-law of Chris, a cherished nan, nana and great-nana, loved sister and sister-in-law and a good friend and relative to many. Born in Greenock, Scotland, Cathy moved to Blackburn with her family. Cathy was a truly devoted selfless family lady, she would always put others first and would give away her last penny to help anyone in need. She was the most adoring mum, nana and great-nana and always made sure her children were treated fairly. Cathy spent her working life as a mental health support worker at Calderstones and with her hard working and caring ethos she was always a highly respected member of the team and made many friends. She loved to travel and always looked forward to getting away for some rest and relaxation. Cathy was an avid reader and also looked forward to settling in to her armchair to catch up with her favourite TV shows. Donations can be made to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. A Requiem Mass was celebrated at St Charles RC Church, Rishton on Friday, December 27, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium.
