Rosemary LenetteGRESTYPassed away peacefully at home on 25th September 2024, with her family by her side. The vibrant, colourful and giving Rosemary, aged 64 years of Congleton and Macclesfield, was the devoted wife of Stephen, the dearly loved mum of Miranda and the cherished daughter of the late Joan and David. She inspired so many students at St Joseph's High School from 1988 to the early 2000s and her school shows will never be forgotten. She was a glorious actress, gracing stages across Staffordshire and Cheshire, appearing as Florence Foster Jenkins in 'Glorious', Mother Superior in 'Sister Act', 'Marmee' in 'Little Women' and Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret'. Rosemary will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her family, friends and everyone's lives that she touched and inspired. The funeral service will take place at St Michael's Church, Hulme Walfield, Congleton on Tuesday 5th November 2024 at 1pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St Michael's Church or Cancer Research UK.

I worked with Rosemary at St Josephs for about 15 years and greatly admired, respected and loved her. She taught History for several years before switching to English, Literature and Drama. What a talented individual and what fun we had together. I can't believe this sad news. My heart goes out to her husband and Miranda. Rest assured, however, Rosemary will not be forgotten. She was a star and I'm so proud to have been her colleague and friend.

Rosemary, you were a reassuring presence on every stage, well-known and admired by all in your theatre and teaching community.

For me, all of your 'stage' relationships were transformed by one, single ingredient: your love of the craft —the most essential ingredient for success. You not only gave every bit of yourself to the audience, but to your fellow cast members.

Being in any show with you, meant you were sure of a couple of things, fun in rehearsals, a vibrant frock or two and a sense of security.

Rosemary, I'll always recall fondly, your ribbons in Irene Molloy's Hat Shop. You always had "built in elegance, and with elegance", you carried it off!

My prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear about Rosemary. We went to school together and I last saw her at a reunion in November 2023 when she was such fun and entertained us all (as she always did at school). My thoughts go to Rosemary’s family. Sorry I can’t get to the funeral but will make a donation to Cancer Research in Rosemary’s memory. 💕
