A wife and mother who landed in Ramsgate in 1983 and with her husband Joe, contributed to both the social and economic heritage of the town through their entrepreneurial ownership of the Eagle Cafe and Sion Hill Hotel. Carmel contributed to the development of Ramsgate with her involvement in various committees duly acknowledged by various political representations at the time of her death. Always remembered as a Ramsgate citizen.
