Mary LorraineGRIFFINMRS Mary Lorraine Griffin, of Gladstone Street, Bacup, died on Friday, September 6, at Fairfield Hospital, Bury, aged 71. She had been employed as a machinist, previously working at Ross Mill before retiring from the slipper industry. She enjoyed caravanning in Morecambe, keeping tropical fish, her cat Henry and knitting and spending time with family. She leaves son David, daughters Dianna and Joanna, brothers Alan and Edward, sisters Elizabeth and Susan, together with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service was held on Friday, September 20, at Knight and Boys Funeral Home, Stacksteads, Bacup, administered by Kirsty Goodinson, followed by burial at Bacup Cemetery. Funeral director: Paul Swarbrick, Knight & Boys Funeral Service, 300 Newchurch Road, Bacup.
