David IslwynGRIFFITHSPeacefully at his home on Thursday November 28th 2019, Islwyn of Heol y Meinciau, Pontyates passed away following an illness borne with courage and determination. Devoted husband of Carol, loving father of Linda and Darren, caring tadcu of Sacha, Aled, Bradley and Iwan, proud great tadcu of Oli, dear father in law of Robert and Julia. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Public funeral service at Llanelli Crematorium on Wednesday December 11th, 2019 at 12.00pm. Family flowers only. I am sorry to see the passing of David. I am guessing he was the son of Archie "Trimsaran" Griffiths as he was known during World War One, serving in the 130th (St John) Field Ambulance. I had been hoping to find David to talk to him about his father's war. I have many stories and photographs relating to Archie's war service. I offer my condolences.
