Catherine McKenzieGRIMSONOn the morning of Thursday, 21st July, Catherine McKenzie Grimson, of Crieff, formerly of Glasgow, passed away at Wardside House, Muthill. Catherine, who had just turned 95, had a long and fulfilling life as a mother, teacher, and wife to John, who she dearly missed since he passed away in 2010. Catherine continued to live in the family home, Crieff, until September last year when, following a long and difficult time living on her own during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Catherine had to move into care due to deteriorating health: she initially moved to Rubislaw Park Care Home in Aberdeen and more recently to Wardside House. During all this time family remained the most important part of Catherine's life, and she is survived by her children: Neiliann, Dermot, Gavin and Mike, their partners Cheryl and Fiona; her grandchildren Ross, Eilidh, Colin, Kelly, Thomas, Murray, Paul, Charlie, Helena, and Al; and her grandchildren Saoirse and Aoife. On Monday, 1st August at 12:30pm, Catherine's funeral service will be conducted at Perth Crematorium to which all friends are invited. Following this there will be an opportunity to meet and reminisce at the Huntingtower Hotel where a buffet lunch will be provided. With increasing rates of Covid we would ask that those attending the service wear face coverings to reduce the risk to others. Family flowers only. There will be a retiral collection for the Friends of Crieff Hospital and the MS Society.
