Martin Alan PhdGRUNDYPassed away on 29 November 2021, aged 60. Much loved husband of Marilyn Rawlins Grundy, loving Dad of Nia and Philip. Son of Elizabeth (Betty) and the late John Grundy. Brother of David and Janine and Catherine and Andrew, Father in law of Nathan Rawlins. Martin will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including Carol Rawlins, Frank Callahan, Mike, Paige, and Henri Demontigny, Carlos Negron, Nelson and Robbie Rawlins, Janice and Fred Faulkner, Michael, Rhonda, Melissa and Dylan Rawlins, Roslyn, Ryan and Sydney Rawlins, Steven Spink, Norman Rawlins, Jeanelle Rawlins all in the USA; the Scroggins of U.K. and New Zealand as well as many other cousins, family members and friends. Resting at D Caesar Jones Funeral Directors, Cardiff until his funeral service on 21st December 2021 at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff at 1pm, reception to follow at Principality Stadium. In lieu of flowers donations to be given through Just Giving "Deuparth gwaith yw ei ddechrau" - Starting the work is two-thirds of it - a welsh proverb. This fund has been created in Martin's honour to encapsulate his spirit of the pursuit of purpose and life that he embodied as a man and that he conveyed to everyone he met. The proceeds from this fund will benefit Nia and Philip as they continue to grow into amazing adult individuals and help support their pursuits of education, rugby, athletics, and arts. Similarly, Martin wanted to create a legacy of giving and find a way to establish an ongoing scholarship for other young individuals that are pursuing their dreams and need a way to breakdown some of barriers to pursue their interest. Martin's life was dedicated to allowing young people to achieve their goals and gain accessibility to unexplored facets of life. The hope for this fund is to create the foundation for a legacy of kindness in the pursuit of creative endeavours. This fund will be in lieu of flowers.
