I hope there might be a volume of tribute essays for this under-rated poet and translator. Will his papers be placed in the university or have they been? There were so many interesting people out in Japan during his time there. For me, Harry was the consummate gentleman, smiling, courteous, intelligent and entertaining. It was always such a pleasure to talk to him. I have his poetry book beside me, I’ll be dipping into it again.
