Judith MargueriteHALLJudith "J" Hall, was born 21 August 1941 in Leigh, Wigan, to Marguerite "Margo" Belle Hooper and Sidney Hall. She was younger sister to Ashley Peter, and granddaughter to Margaret "Maggie" Taylor and George Hooper of Romsey, and Ada Young and Rowland Hall of Manchester. J grew up on Arnfield Road in Manchester, and worked at the Christie Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary. She lived in several countries and travelled in many more, including South Africa, the U.S., Hong Kong, Japan, and all over Europe. She was a lover of antiques and blue and white china, loved gardening, especially houseplants, puzzles, dogs, and reading -- she was particularly fond of murder mysteries. J died peacefully at home in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, on 31 January, 2024. She is survived by her children Nicholas and Julia, her sons-in-law Michael and Mike, and her grandsons Nathan and Maverick.
