JuneHALLWORTHof Great Harwood, died on Friday, December 6, aged 81. She worked at St Huberts Post office in Great Harwood where her husband Jack was the postmaster from 1985 to 2001. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, writing and reading poetry, calligraphy, music and simply watching the world go by. Wife of Jack, she was mother to Karen, Lindsay and Andrea, grandmother to Emily and her husband Matt, Alex, Edgar, Joe and Matt, mother-in-law to Andrew, Edward and Michael, sister-in-law of Hilda and the late Bob, an auntie, great-auntie and great, great-auntie to many, daughter of the late Norman and Gladys, sister of the late Brian and a friend to many. A funeral service took place at Burnley Crematorium on Monday, December 16, followed by a service of thanksgiving at St Bartholomew's Parish Church, Great Harwood, conducted by The Ven. Richard Ormston, Archdeacon of Northampton. Donations are requested for the East Lancashire Hospice c/o funeral director Great Harwood Funeral Service, 3 Clayton Street, Great Harwood.
