MikeHANDCOCKPeacefully in Hastings Court on 14th June 2019 aged 85 years. Former Mayor of Southborough and Headmaster of Bidborough Primary School & Claremont Primary School, Tunbridge Wells. A much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St. Lawrence's Church, Bidborough on Monday 5th August at 2.30 p.m. Enquiries and donations payable to either 'Alzheimer's Research UK' or 'Meningitis Trust UK' c/o J. To all the family especially his wife Rhona - Keith and I offer our deepest condolences. Mike will be missed by many. I have known Mike for over 35 years. I worked as Secretary for the PTA at Claremont School and later Secretary for SAKA (Southborough and Kaniv Association) for a period of 10 happy years. He and his wife became good friends and I visited him on many occasions when he moved to the Nursing Home in Hastings where his wife still resides.
