I fill my days with thoughts of you and search for you in dreams
I can’t believe it’s been 3 years, time flies at least it seems
I long to hear your voice and feel the squeeze of a hug
I even long to hear you nag and threaten to cuff my lug
You were my moon, my stars the every beat of my heart
Some days I feel without you I don’t even know where to start
I keep you with me always and hold the memories dear
In pictures and in stories your presence quells the fear
For another year without you seems to much to bear
My beautiful lovely mammy it still feels just so unfair
