Lovely service, huge turnout testimony to how much Keith was loved and thought of. Honoured to have been able to pay my respects to the old lad.

I had the pleasure of working with Keith when I was a mere apprentice at Gedling pit on Alan Redshaws shift. Keith was face fitter on A56’s then and I often went on there as an apprentice to lend a hand. Kind man, passed on some great knowledge and fitting skills to me and had a fair few laughs with the likes of Bob Harvey, Knocker Nolan. I’m sure there’s many a pit man who remembers Keith and he’ll be up there cutting coal again with Alan Redshaw, little Jimmy Wilson and a few others. You will be surely missed my friend. RIP Keith.

The best, and only ‘brother in law’ we never had! Missing you Keith, more than you know. Your plain wonder at the beauty of the world around you, your pints of Leffe (all noted down in our history). Thank you Keith for all the love and so much laughter - happy times. Thank you for loving Helen so much and showing her how to live and to love again. Always in our hearts, God bless and sleep tight, Tara, Simon and ‘The Doods’. Xx
