So sorry to hear about Harry passing away. He was such a genuine, kind man and I always really enjoyed talking to him. He loved sport, especially athletics and gave so much back to the city. He coached my dad (Neil Jackson) and he was still coaching at City of Stoke when I started running myself. He was always happy to help. Thoughts to his family and friends x

Devastated to hear the news of Harry’s passing, he was my coach in the 70’s, I became a fellow coach in the late 80’s, a true friend and always willing to help, so many stories, our condolences to Margaret and the family, he will be missed.

Harry was such a lovely man, thoughtful coach and an avid Athletics fan, spoke to him on many an occasion personally and when interviewed by him while he was working on race reports. Will be sadly missed, my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Harry was my athletics coach at City of Stoke AC back in the 70s. He helped me to become the Midlands 10,000m champion in 1976, for which I will be forever grateful. A wonderful man and a great coach. Condolences to all the family.
