Dorothy MargaretHATTAMIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy on Monday 23rd December 2024. Dorothy had been living with Alzheimer's for some time, and unfortunately, her health had deteriorated over the past few months and she passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Dorothy was the wonderful wife of Harry; loving mam of Christopher and Caroline; devoted grandma to Kate, Florrie, Sophie and Harry; treasured sister of Christine and Jim; amazing mother-in-law of Helen and Simon; and wonderful friend to all those who knew her.
Dorothy's funeral and celebration of her life will be held at St Joseph's Church in Birtley (DH3 1LJ) on Tuesday 21st January 2025 at 10.45 am followed by a committal service at Birtley Crematorium at 12.00 pm.
All are welcome to join the family after the Requiem Mass at St Joseph's Parish Centre (across the road from the Church) to continue the celebration of Dorothy's life.
