JohnHAWLEYPeacefully after a long illness on 1st June 2023 John aged 86 years, with his loving wife Sally, and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by his side, loving dad of Nick, Darren and Lorraine, Father in law of Claire, Claire and Mick, treasured grand of Suzi, Dani, Rowan, Oliver and Nikki, great grandad biscuit of Teig, Conor, Lewis, Elias (little John) and Taylor. John will be sadly missed by all his loving family and dear friends. Funeral to take place on Thursday 22nd June Service at Christchurch, Fenton at 12.30 pm prior to Interment at Fenton Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend kindly meet at the Church. Flowers welcome or if preferred donations to C.I.S.W.O (Coal mining charity) in memory of John. Really sorry for your loss.

I remember John as a kind, hardworking man. I can still hear the sound of the shop bell when I went in, and either Sally or John shouting " SHOP" !! ........ and a a German Shepherd called 'Rex' that could balance a chewy mint on his nose without eating it.
All part of my childhood and youth. Happy memories.

Uncle john sadly missed , always a family man and all round great man , always there for his wife , kids and grandkids , worked hard all his life and not many could walk in his shoes but john would always have a smile and crack jokes , r.i.p john mate , love Pam and Dan
