Ian HarperHAYIt is with great sadness to announce that Ian aged 89 years passed away peacefully, on Tuesday 26th September 2023 whilst in the tender care of Ladysmith Road Care Home.

A much loved husband to Shirl, a loving dad to Dave, Sue and Caz, a stepfather to Steve, Ian was also a dear grandad and gramps, great-grandad, brother, uncle, father-in-law, a friend to many and will be sadly missed by all.

A celebration of Ian's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 17th October 2023, at 1:30pm.

By request family flowers only, but donations in Ian's memory can be made for Guide Dogs for the Blind. A donation box will be available on the day.

Sorry to hear this. I remember going to watch him play cricket in the 70’s with David. A kind and caring man. My condolences to all the family.

Ian, we go back a long time. Over 60 years. 1961 to be precise. I remember you driving us, you Dorothy me and Roger, to London to see “my fair lady “ and getting back in the early hours. Then in later year’s meeting quite by accident on the canals. It was great to meet Shirley. Playing dominoes on Roseanne. Happy days. May you rest in peace lovely man. Steph.
