Kenneth TerenceHEAPMr Kenneth Terence Heap of Broadley Street, Rawtenstall, died at home on Saturday, July 15, 2023, aged 66. He was born in Rossendale on July 9, 1957 Ken was a joiner by trade, he was City and Guilds qualified and served his apprenticeship at Harry Ashworths in Waterfoot. He later worked at Speakmans travelling the length and breadth of the country fitting out Yates wine bars and dentist practices amongst other building projects. He retired early at the age of 55 to enjoy his many hobbies. In his youth he enjoyed fishing and playing snooker but his real passion was golf. He was a member at Towneley Golf Club and played twice a week at least during the season. He won many competitions including two major trophies and he will be greatly missed by all his friends at Towneley. He leaves his parents Terence and Joan Heap, his siblings Roy, Sandra, Julie and Craig, his brother-in-law David, his sister-in-law Fiona and his much-loved nephews and nieces and his extended family. Kenneth was a warm, kind, genuine person who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His funeral is due to be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, when Revd Steve Ansell will lead a service at Lumb Baptist Church, Lumb, at 11am followed by interment at Lumb Baptist Church.
