Albert ArthurHELLIWELLof Todmorden Road, Bacup, died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 24, aged 88. A service was held at the chapel of rest on Wednesday, December 4, at 9.40am followed by cremation at Burnley at 10.30am, conducted by Mr Peter Goulding. Born in Todmorden in 1931, he came to live in Bacup in 1964. Albert was originally employed as a bus driver, then became a driving instructor and later owned his own jewellery shop in Bacup. His hobbies included restoring vintage cars and antiques, travelling to Tenerife and he was a former practicing member of Todmorden Amateur Operatic Society. He leaves his wife Margaret of 70 years, having celebrated their anniversary on September 3, 2019, daughter June and her husband Paul, son Michael and his wife Marilyn, daughter Deana and her husband Steven, daughter Kay, Ian and David, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends.
