JohnHEMINGWAYEvery so often, you're lucky enough to meet someone that changes the way you think about the world around you. If you're reading this, it's probably because you were lucky enough to know my dad, John Hemingway
A husband, dad, grandad, friend, teacher, advocate, role model, superhero. However you knew him, you can be sure that he taught you something.
We'll never stop missing him, but what a legacy he leaves behind. As a family we've strived to ensure that he lived in the way that he wanted, despite the challenges of Parkinson's and Dementia. The tireless love and support provided by our truly amazing mum Christine Hemingway, meant he was able to stay at home and make his own choices right to the end. He passed on 31st July 2026 surrounded by his girls, love and far more laughter than we all expected.
I'll be forever grateful to the wonderful nurses who made the last 48 hours possible; you brought him peace and gave us time and space to say goodbye.
Funeral will be Thursday 27th August 10:15am Loughborough Crematorium.
