Colin JamesHENDERSONThe most handsome man in Throckley has decided that 87 years was probably enough and, on Friday 31st July 2026, clocked off for good to reunite with the loves of his life, his darling wife June, his beloved daughter Helen, and his faithful black Labrador, Judy.
Colin leaves behind a family who adored him and will miss him every single day: his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, alongside caravan friends scattered far and wide.
The family would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at Connie Lewcock. You cared for Colin with kindness, dignity and truly endless patience. "Thank you" simply doesn't cover what you've done for our special guy.
Colin's final journey will take place at West Road Crematorium on Friday 28th August at 12.30pm. We'd love for everyone who knew him to come along, celebrate a life well lived, and then join us afterwards at The Union Jack Club, Throckley for refreshments.
Colin has requested no flowers. If you'd like to honour his memory instead, a donation box for Brysons Animal Shelter will be available at the time of the funeral.
