The obituary notice of Gordon HENDRY

A privilege to have known Gordon for many years, I became deputy head at Longmoor School following his retirement. Gordon kept in touch with the school, especially at Xmas time when he could always be relied upon to play the piano at our concerts and Carol services. He was a lovely and kind hearted gentleman, so sad to hear the news of his passing, god bless.

It was a pleasure to meet you all those years ago at Daile and Richard's wedding.

My thoughts are with Roly, Daile and the rest of the Hendry family.

Dearest and very special Gordon,

On behalf of beloved Peter and me, I send huge thanks for all that you have meant to us since 1951, when we met you and dear Margery at College in Cheltenham. What fun we had and how privileged we were to have you as our Best Man in 1956, and then both of you at our “Golden” in 2006.
We have loved you and and your marvellous music for a very long time. You will be greatly missed..
