Betty JoanHERBERTformerly Lane, née Capel Betty, much loved by family and friends, died on 3 February 2019, aged 98. A highly creative person, she was well known in Cardiff as an artist, writer and counsellor, someone who was fully engaged with the world and her wide circle of friends. Betty was predeceased by her husband Eric; in her immediate family, she is survived by her son Ben, niece Ceri, grandchildren Lucia and Rafael and grandniece Mia. Her life will be celebrated at a funeral service to be held at Thornhill Crematorium in Cardiff on Friday 1 March 2019 at 1:30pm. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to: The Wallich, a homeless charity who support homeless and vulnerable people in Wales; or Gofal, a mental health charity which offers Breathe counselling services in Roath, Cardiff.
