BettyHESLOPnee Armstrong Lyndhurst Estate Born on 25th March 1932 in Wrekenton Row, passed away peacefully in hospital on 20th February surrounded by her close family, Elizabeth (Betty). Beloved wife of Ron for 66 years they lived on Lyndhurst Estate, Low Fell for 54 years. Cherished mother of Anne, Alan and Gill, dear mother in law to Tom, Pat and Catrin, a loving Nana to Joe, Edward, Adele, Adam, Ruth and Laurie and a proud Great Nana of Halle, Mabel and Alex. A celebration of Betty' s life will be held at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 5th March at 1.45pm. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu may be given if desired to the Stroke Association and Dementia UK

Only met Betty a couple of times but what a lovely gentle lady. She was very proud of her family and she will be missed by all of them.

I remember her as superwoman..always busy ,always helping others, always fun, always loving her family.

Betty was my aunt and my Godmother. She has always been in my life and my family’s life as has all of her beloved family.
We will miss her so much. Always in our hearts.
