BrianHEYWOODIt is with great sadness that the children of Mr. Brian Heywood, announce his death, on Sunday 26th November, at the age of 75.

Brian passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Bethan, Aled, Heledd and Rhys, and his six grandchildren.

Brian was District Head Postmaster of Leicester before undertaking various Director roles for Royal Mail in Birmingham and London. He later became CEO of a local charity, CIYA (Charnwood Independent Youth Action)

He had a great zest for life, adored his family and was a fantastic host. In later years, he discovered a talent for icon painting, a hobby which brought him great fulfilment and new friendships.

He was an active member of the church community at St George in the Meadows, Nottingham where his cooking skills were much appreciated during parish lunches.

The funeral will be held at All Saints Parish Church at Rempstone at 10am on Tuesday 19th December.

In lieu of flowers, the family have set up a memorial page with donations going to the British Heart Foundation in Brian's memory.
