Evelyn (Lynne)HEYWORTHof Rochdale Road, Bacup, died on Thursday, August 1, at home after a long illness, aged 70. A receptionist at Thomas Cook (Airtours) for many years, she was manager of local stores in Bacup and retired from Eldercare eight years ago. She enjoyed reading and holidays in Cyprus and Portugal. She was the mayoress in 1997/98. She is survived by husband Peter, son Christian and his partner Lisa, granddaughter Ellie Mae, brother Donald, sister-in-law Mary, sister-in-law Margaret and several nieces and nephews. The celebration of life, conducted by the Rev Philip Norris, was held at Burnley Crematorium, on Wednesday, August 14. This was followed by cremation. Donations for Rossendale Hospice.
