Rosemary MargaretHIBBERDJACK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary on 11th October 2021 at the age of 86. She will be a much missed Wife, Mum and Grandma. Born in India on the 12th August 1935 to Scottish parents and educated in Glasgow from the age of 10. Although she left Scotland to seek work at 18 she was a proud Scot for her whole life. Getting a job as a Stewardess with Cambrian Airways in the late 50s brought her to South Wales where she flew on Dakotas, Herons & even Dragons Rapide biplane. Rosemary loved Wales, learning basic Welsh to go alongside her fluent French, however she remained an ardent Scotland rugby supporter! Rosemary lived in Llantwit Major for 60 years with husband Tony & where the children; Jackie, Gavin & Abigail grew up. She may be remembered by many as a leading light in the town's Twinning Society, History Society, various school Parent Teacher Associations & the Llantwit Major columnist for the Glamorgan Gazette.
