SylviaHICKEYWith the heaviest of hearts, we sadly announce that Sylvia passed away peacefully on Sunday 17th July 2022 at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 83 years. Devoted Wife of the late Patrick. Loving Mum to Jayne, Belinda, Denise, Janet and Simon. Dear Mother-in-Law to Mark, Mac, Rob, Julie and Paul. Cherished Nana and Great Nana. Adored Sister of Sheila, Eileen and the late John and Dennis. Loving Auntie, Great Auntie and friend to many. Sylvia's family would like to say Thankyou to all the doctors and nurses at Scunthorpe General Hospital for their care and kindness that they, and Sylvia received in this most difficult time. A funeral service will be held at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Wednesday 10th August 2022 at 12:00pm. Flowers welcomed, or donations, if so desired, may be sent to The British Liver Trust in memory of Sylvia. Sylvia is now resting in the care of Ashby Funeral Care 174 Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe. Words will never describe the love I have for you Nan and nothing will ever take that away. The loss I feel is something like never before and I don’t know how I’ll go on without you. I miss you everyday now and for always. I don’t know how I’ll continue without you telling me to drink more water or giving me advice on my next cake. I don’t know where I would be without having had you in my life. My stubborn, opinionated, loving nan and I wouldn’t have had you any other way. The best nan in the whole world. We had an unbreakable bond and the memories we shared I will cherish forever. I will continue to live my life in hope you’d be proud as you always told me to. I will forever feel you around me and watching over me as I feel you already are🦋

Well mum where do I start. Life will never be the same without you. How I wish you was still here even to have our little arguments that we always had but that was us and the love we shared overcame any differences we had. I don’t how I am going to continue on but i know I have to as you would say there is no other way. I know you are looking down on us and I feel your presence around me. I love you yesterday , today and always x
