AnneHICKSArtist and lifelong environmental campaigner for Bristol, died peacefully on 26/06/2020 in 'Goldrush' - the home she built with her fellow artist, campaigner and husband of over sixty years, Jerry Hicks. Having lost her son, Simon, thirteen years ago, she leaves behind daughter Kim, four grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great granddaughters. As we experience the vitality and historical continuity of Bristol City Docks we are sharing the vision of Anne Hicks and other campaigners. In the fluid interplay between, light, water and the industrial landscape, she saw such beauty as filled with life enhancing possibilities. An inspiration to so many who knew her, Anne remains with us. A family funeral for Anne will take place on July 20th at 2.00pm - we will arrange a memorial gathering to celebrate her life in due course.
