PaulHIGGINOn 11th April 2024 all of a sudden at his home in Lytham, aged 58 years.

The much loved partner of Simone, dearly loved son of the late Connie and the late Harry and a dear friend to many. Born in Blackburn, brought up in Accrington by his adoptive parents he deeply loved and respected.

Paul began his working life at the age of 16 at Emerson & Renwick engineering company starting as an apprentice on the shop floor working his way through the ranks into management with an ever changing title from Health & Safety manager to Quality manager to IT and the latest Facilitating manager! Paul was for many many years a volunteer for the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team leading difficult and extensive searches but also organising and running many and often yearly recurring fund raising events for the charity.

Paul was an amazingly knowledgeable tour guide not only for E&R's foreign customers but also for Simone's family and friends. He was an expert in giving whistlestop tours of the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales but also tours of the big cities London and Manchester. Through his parents he developed his love for the theatre and he encouraged others and especially the younger generation to go and experience live theatre. He enjoyed all drama and musicals but his all time favourite was Les Misérables.

Family flowers only, donations can made to the Rossendale and Pendle mountain Rescue. To make a donation please visit www.chamfunereals.com/obituaries.

Paul's funeral service will be held at St Mary Magdalen's Church Accrington on Tuesday 7th May, at 10:45am. Followed by committal at Accrington crematorium.
