MargaretHIGGINSMargaret Higgins was a caring wife, mum, nanny, sister and friend. After a battle with cancer, she sadly passed away on 30th September, 2023, aged 76. Born to Leo and Elizabeth Laffan on 29th June 1947, Margaret grew up in Liverpool. She later worked as a bookbinder and met her beloved husband, Edward Higgins, on a trip to Blackpool. They were married for 52 years and together they had 2 children: Peter and Catherine. Margaret loved the simple things in life. When she wasn't spending time at home, or with her four grandchildren: Hannah, Ben, Bailey and Harvey, she liked nothing more than a game of Bingo or a go on the fruit machines. She was a straight-talking lady with the kindest of hearts, who would do anything for her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband, son, daughter, grandchildren and sister. A private funeral service for close family and friends is scheduled for 23rd October, 2023.
