Peacefully in hospital on 28th June 2024 aged 79 years Ernie.

Dearly loved husband of Maureen.

Will be sadly missed by all the family.

Funeral Service at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 18th July at 1.00pm.

Would friends please meet at crematorium.

Family flowers only.

Donations in lieu if desired to St Bedes Unit Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead. (Cheques payable to Gateshead Health Charity) c/o Martin Rankin Funeral Directors 7 The Square, Front Street, Whickham, NE16 4JB.

I loved this guy. Known him for many years and although he was one of my customers he was like a grandfather. He was good to me. Kept me busy when I was quiet and always called me by my Sunday name. I am so sorry to be reading this post and would have liked to crossed paths at least one more time so I could let him know that even after all these years I am still thankful. Rest well Ernie. I have missed you a lot since you retired and now I will miss you more. Although you may be gone you have left a lasting impression. Fly high with the Angels and Dance with the Stars my friend ❤️
