I’m so sorry to learn of Richard’s passing, he shared an attic flat in Camberley with a friend of mine some years ago so I knew him only really in passing but he was always cheerful and fun to be around. Rest in peace xxx

We had no idea Richard had passed away so are very saddened to be reading this. We will never forget the fun and mad moments we shared with Richard, mostly at Rallies but also bowling and at our homes. Rest in Peace Richard. Our most sincere belated condolences to Debbie, David and Robert.

We've known Richard since he met our son James at primary school and they became friends. Richard was always a friendly, kind hearted and highly intelligent young man, who shared his interest in railways, trains, traction engines, sea scouts etc, with James. Richard was always a pleasure to meet and chat with. I won't forget one of our last meetings at Somersham Carnival where he had his Matchless motorcycle and we had a wonderful discussion on magnetos etc. Richard was simply loved by all.

Very fond memories of dear Richard particularly at the Haddenham Steam Rally when he was covered in cole dust and camping out. He was in his element.

Richard was happy, contented and great company. We remember his absolute determination when learning something new, but he was also a patient teacher when passing knowledge to others. We loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.
