JoanHOCKLEYnée Playle In loving memory of Joan Esther (née Playle) who passed away peacefully at home on 21st March 2021, aged 90 years. Much loved wife of the late Claude, mother of Irene, Marie and Charles and Nanny to Harry, Tom and George. Joan was born in Royston and the family then moved to Litlington where she spent her childhood years until marrying Claude and moving to Piggotts Farm, Albury End. She was a business woman all her life and dedicated to supporting the Little Hadham Congregational Church followed by the Hadham Cross Congregational Church. A restricted funeral service will take place at Hadham Cross Congregational Church on Thursday 1st April 2021 at 11am. Donations, if desired, may be made to Hadham Cross Congregational Church or the Jack May Trust Fund (for Much Hadham Health Centre) and sent c/o Daniel Robinson & Sons, 79/81 South Street, Bishop's Stortford, CM23 3AL.
